The Subnational Corruption Database is versioned. This page lists what's currently published, what's planned, and where to download each release. Direct citations should always reference the Figshare DOI.
v1.0 was peer-reviewed and published in Nature Scientific Data in 2024. Three datasets are included, each in Stata, SPSS, and Excel formats:
Two Stata do-files are also included documenting the pipeline from underlying surveys to the published datasets.

The full SCD v1.0 bundle is available below. It contains the Baseline, Comprehensive, and SUB-CPI / SUB-CCI datasets in Stata, SPSS, and Excel formats, plus the two Stata do-files documenting the pipeline and the read-me. Approximately 7 MB compressed.
The single question below the download button is voluntary. If you tell us how you'll use the data, we can flag relevant updates and feature your work in the use-case catalogue. If you'd rather not, just leave both fields empty.

v1.1 expands coverage by integrating sources that did not previously have sub-national classifications, strengthening the imputation methods used to fill out the panel:

The SCD uses the Global Data Lab's regional classification where available. A mapping file is provided so that users with Global Data Lab shapefiles can produce their own geographical visualizations.
